Could you support the District Chair and District Lead Volunteer to ensure the smooth running of meetings within the District?
As our Meetings Administrator, it would be your job to work with the District Chair and District Lead Volunteer to set meeting agendas, arrange the logistics for each meeting and share this information with the relevant people. You’d take accurate and accessible minutes at the meetings and distribute these once approved. As a result, the person completing these tasks would need to have the ability to use technology, especially mobile email, to carry out a range of tasks (confident in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint or equivalent). On occasion, you may be asked to undertake other reasonable duties deemed appropriate to the role.
The meetings you would be supporting would, on average, be no more than 10 a year and therefore time wise, the tasks are expected to take no more than 2 hours a month on average. The role would predominantly be working virtually from home however in person attendance at some meetings would be required. This is a voluntary role and is unremunerated however reasonable expenses in line with the District’s Financial Management Policy will be paid.
For more information about the role, or you’d like an informal chat, please contact Will Hazell, District Lead Volunteer, on dc@gdscouts.org.uk or 01327 206406.
